The U.S. just fired about 50 Tomahawk missiles at two Syrian bases.
The attack was done under pretense that the Syrian government had launched a chemical weapons attack on civilians in Idlib, claims for which there is no proof. The corporate media set the stage by showing disturbing footage of children dying and claiming the Syrian government is to blame.
The Syrian government agreed to give up its entire arsenal for destruction after another false flag attack in 2013 took place almost identical to the one on Tuesday. The Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) confirmed in January 2016 that Syria's chemical weapons arsenal was destroyed.
However, in June 2016, the State Department released a report stating that Syria continued to use "chemical substances" against citizens, and could have retained a chemical weapons stockpile. UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Kim Won-soo said that the United Nations and OPCW experts still cannot confirm the complete destruction of chemical weapon production facilities in Syria.
Tonight's attack comes after Steve Bannon was removed from the National Security Council. He was the strongest voice together with Lt. Gen. Flynn, against this type of activity that has been brought about by a policy of endless wars. Flynn and Bannon argued for a detente with Russia. But it appears that after months of the Russia-collusion propaganda circus, the neocon establishment is hijacking the Trump presidency-- at least its foreign policy.
